I know what it’s like to be a beginner, to mindlessly move through a yoga class not knowing what to do, where to feel a pose or even how to breathe. That is why I’m so passionate about sharing my knowledge with others!
I bring positivity, encouragement and compassion into each class. My style of teaching is gentle, yet effective. I provide in-depth instruction and guidance through each yoga posture. Through my teaching, my students learn to stay present and focused. This provides my students with the ability to build a greater awareness and control of their breathing and body positioning, which can translate into their lives off the mat. I do not believe in forcing the body into a pose. Instead, I will offer ways to modify a posture based on my students’ abilities. Accessibility and safety are always my priority!
I also help my students to understand that there is a balance between stretching and strengthening in yoga which is important to keep the body functioning optimally. While stretching is great, overstretching may be harmful. This is why I make sure to incorporate mobilization, stretching and strengthening in almost all of my classes to ensure a healthy balance of movement in the body.
I hope to inspire you on your yoga journey and help to take your yoga practice to the next level!

Over 6 years and 1500 hours of teaching experience. I started my teaching career assisting the lead yoga instructors at a Yoga Teacher Training in India. I then travelled to Nicaragua, where I taught as a resident yoga instructor, leading 2 classes per day. When I arrived back in Canada, I taught group classes at several studios and corporate classes at many businesses in Banff and Toronto. I have been part of many community initiatives with Lululemon, Patagonia and Canadian Cancer Society. I opened my own studio in Mississauga, Ontario during the pandemic, but sadly closed due to lockdown and government restrictions in Ontario and Canada. Since then I have moved back to the Canadian Rocky Mountains, to the Kootenay Region of Beautiful British Columbia. I currently teach yoga full time having mostly virtual students and corporate clients. I currently reside and teach in person in Invermere, British Columbia.

All of my yoga trainings have been accredited with and approved by Yoga Alliance. After completing my 200HR Yoga Teacher Training in India in 2017, I became passionate about spreading awareness of proper alignment in yoga in order to minimize yoga injuries and maximize posture benefits. In this training I learned to teach Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Aerial Yoga. I further completed specialized training in Yin Yoga with Master Teacher, Bernie Clark. This training opened my eyes to the anatomical differences of individuals and gave me all of the necessary tools to modify postures to suit an individuals’ direct needs. I completed my 300HR Aligned Yoga Teacher Training with Alignment Expert, Briohny Smyth in 2021. This vinyasa-focused training taught me the importance of proper body engagement paired with proper alignment to really understand postures on a deeper level and teach them more effectively to my students. I also hold a Bachelor Degree in Psychology as well as a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition.

I am an adventurous person who loves all things active. I’ve played many different sports throughout my whole life since I was a child and have always been fascinated with how the body works.
My first experience with yoga was on my Wii Fit as young girl. I attended my first class as a young adult when I was going through a tough time in University. I initially started practicing yoga to improve my mental health, and to get into better physical shape. I remember how uncoordinated, inflexible and discouraged I felt in that class. I had much less body awareness and connection to my body and breath than I thought.
I practiced yoga on and off in group classes for 5 years before deciding I wanted to complete a 200HR Yoga Teacher Training in India to deepen my practice and learn how to practice and teach multiple styles of yoga. After that, I knew I had to share the physical practice of yoga with others! I want my students to feel encouraged, connected and empowered by their yoga practice.
I’m not perfect! I can’t yet perform a handstand, although I am working on it after many years of recovering from a sport-related shoulder injury. I also use yoga props in my own personal practice all the time— and I have no shame in this! I’m enjoying my own yoga journey to the fullest and love everything that I am learning along the way! I have also endured injuries that have helped me to learn how to incorporate yoga into my rehabilitation, and also learn how to modify and achieve better balance in my practice. Working with different health care professionals (chiropractors, TCM doctors, kinesiologists, physical therapists, osteopaths) to heal and optimize my own body has given me greater insight on how the body moves and heals.
I found yoga when I really needed it. Yoga has helped me learn about the human body, challenge my mind and further connect with my body, breath and the present moment. That is why I am so passionate about sharing it’s benefits with others.
